FIDO Tokens

In addition to a smartphone, a FIDO token can also be used as a second factor for triggering ID Austria. Due to legal requirements, A-Trust may only accept FIDO tokens that are FIDO2 Level 2 certified and support WebAuthn. The following models can currently be used as a second factor for ID Austria:

  • YubiKey 5 NFC (from Firmware Version 5.7)
  • YubiKey 5C NFC (from Firmware Version 5.7)
  • YubiKey 5Ci (from Firmware Version 5.7)
  • YubiKey 5C (from Firmware Version 5.7)
  • YubiKey 5 Nano (from Firmware Version 5.7)
  • YubiKey 5C Nano (from Firmware Version 5.7)
  • YubiKey Security Key NFC (Black) (USB-A, USB-C) (from Firmware Version 5.7)
