A-Trust Supporting the Rotary Duckrace 2025 for a Good Cause

On May 17, 2025, the Vienna Watersports Arena was transformed into a lively and colorful venue for a remarkable charity event: The Rotary Club Wien Mozart hosted the annual Duckrace, where 1,100 yellow rubber ducks raced down the whitewater course to raise €12,000 for selected charitable projects – with A-Trust proudly contributing as a sponsor.

The sponsorship initiative was launched by A-Trust managing director Sven Glöckner, who is also a member of the Rotary Club Wien Mozart:
“Social commitment is an essential part of the Rotary philosophy. Since sustainability and social cohesion are also key values for A-Trust, it was only natural for us to support this initiative.”

Each duck symbolized a raffle ticket – and every A-Trust employee received their own duck to join the race. The owners of the 30 fastest ducks won attractive prizes such as hotel packages in Velden am Wörthersee, rides on the iconic Ferris wheel, and many more.

An engaging supporting program featuring face painting, crafts tables, rafting, and food and drinks for donations added to the event’s fundraising success. This year, the proceeds went to „HABIT – Haus der Barmherzigkeit“, Rotary Wien Mozart’s emergency relief fund, and the „Lernhaus Wien“ educational project.

A-Trust CEO Markus Vesely also attended the event, along with board member Sven Glöckner:
“Events like this allow us to get to know our colleagues in a more relaxed and playful atmosphere beyond the usual work environment.”

The “Trusties” – the affectionate nickname for A-Trust employees – even formed two rafting teams to take on the wild water. For Sven Glöckner, the experience was all about team spirit:
“It should be fun and an enjoyable afternoon for everyone. The fact that we’re also supporting meaningful causes is the cherry on top.”

All ducks were collected after the race, ensuring none ended up in natural waterways.
