As in previous years, the European Data Protection Day will take place on January 28. This day focuses on the importance of protecting personal data - a topic that has been especially significant to A-Trust since it was founded in 2000 and continues to gain in importance and relevance. We would therefore like to take this opportunity to once again emphasize the comprehensive measures we take to protect the data of our users.

Secure basis: compliance with legal, regulatory & contractual requirements as well as regular audits

Data protection, information security and ensuring integrity are at the forefront of A-Trust's corporate strategy. Strict compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO) is a top priority. Comprehensive security precautions and careful data processing guarantee that all information is stored confidentially, with complete integrity and security.

A-Trust undergoes regular audits and compliance checks to ensure this high security standard on an ongoing basis. The ISO/IEC 27001 certification confirms the implementation of essential security controls and measures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of all information. In addition, the systems are proactively tested in detail in voluntary pentests (penetration tests) to identify potential vulnerabilities at an early stage and thus prevent cyberattacks in advance.

Continuous evaluation & further development

A-Trust has established an information security management system (ISMS) that meets the international requirements of ISO/IEC 27001. This system enables the company to systematically identify, evaluate and manage information security risks to ensure the long-term protection of data.

Special attention is also paid to the continuous training of employees. Regular training and awareness programs ensure that security awareness is always up to date so that potential threats can be identified at an early stage.

The “extra mile”: no tracking of website cookies

To protect privacy, A-Trust deliberately refrains from tracking website cookies for marketing purposes. All data is processed in accordance with the strictest data protection guidelines in the Austrian high-security data center and is not used for marketing purposes. This means that data sovereignty always remains with the users.

Dr. Markus Vesely, CEO of A-Trust, emphasizes: “We attach great importance to maximum data security and respect the privacy of our users. Data security is and remains our top priority.”
