FIDO2: "YubiKey" now available in the A-Trust webshop

The "YubiKey 5 NFC FIPS" FIDO token from Swedish manufacturer Yubico is now available in the A-Trust webshop.

Anyone who wants to forgo a smartphone or the use of biometric measures to trigger a Handy-Signatur or ID Austria can use so-called FIDO tokens as a second factor. These are usually small, portable hardware components, for example with a USB interface, which act as a kind of security key and thus enable fast and, above all, secure authentication. The so-called "YubiKeys" from the Swedish manufacturer Yubico have already been in use throughout Europe for some time.

Please note: Only certain certified YubiKeys can be used in conjunction with Handy-Signatur and ID Austria, such as the „YubiKey 5 NFC FIPS“.

Attention: Tokens of the "YubiKey 5 Series" are not FIDO2 Level 2 certified and can therefore not be used as a second factor for ID Austria or Handy-Signatur.

With tokens from the A-Trust webshop you are guaranteed to be on the safe side.
